We are looking for a well presented, enthusiastic Bar Manager to run our in-house bar and cafe at Auckland’s premier coworking space. All the perks of a hospitality role – but without the late night, unsociable hours! Your average day ends before 9pm. We’re a young, vibrant group of people and a close-knit team. Generator offers a flexible working environment, and great opportunities for career progression – be prepared to really make the role your own.

You’ll be situated in the Lounge – the very heart and soul of Generator. No two days here are the same and while there are timetabled events and services that need to be delivered, you would also need to be incredibly flexible and unfazed by changes and new requests. A high standard of service is expected as well as the aptitude to meet monthly budgets, manage stock and staff and constantly work with the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • All facets involved in the day to day managing of a bar
  • Managing all casual staff to ensure the seamless delivery of all events
  • Supporting the onsite running of functions and events
  • Building strong, genuine relationships with members and guests
  • Being proactive with driving revenue to meet monthly targets
  • Accurate stock management and reporting
  • Making great coffee!

You’re going to have to like people, because you’ll be seeing an awful lot of them – our members and event clients are a diverse and social bunch. Generator is a serviced and shared office space, providing working and socialising facilities to corporates, SME’s and entrepreneurs. Ultimately shaking up the traditional notions of the workplace, we operate across two Britomart locations in beautifully designed heritage buildings, with plans to expand both nationally and abroad.

We are looking for a Customer Service superstar to be our frontline Receptionist and face of our main Generator site, more of a concierge you could say. Your sole responsibility will be to look after our members, greet clients, answer incoming calls and be a wealth of knowledge for all things Generator. You’ll book meeting rooms, complete some PA services and answer any niggling queries clients may have. This way you’ll be known as the friendly, outgoing Receptionist – the go to person for any need or concern.

To be successful in this role you will have previous customer service experience, ideally client or customer facing. Your bright and bubbly personality will be second to none as it will allow you to liaise with members and clients from all walks of life. Communication skills, professionalism and maturity are all a must! In return we offer a fantastic, professional yet down to earth, close-knit culture, in a niche NZ owned business.
