Tell us a little bit about TEDxAuckland
Our mission at TEDxAuckland is to make it one of the Pacific’s leading platform of great ideas, storytelling, creativity and actionable innovation to the rest of the world; to create and foster a sense of community amongst the people and organisations who have gathered (and continue to gather) around this event and to provide a cultural focus and impetus for conversation and debate.
What's something unique about your TEDxAuckland?
We're a unique organisation in many ways. For one, we are constantly on the hunt to discover and highlight new ideas across all aspects of society. We then get to work with industry leaders and inspirational figures in order to tell stories and spread lessons that are worth paying attention to.
If you could learn any skill, what would it be?
I would want to learn languages quickly. That be a cool skill to have.
Where are you from, and what's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
I’m from the Bay of Plenty. I grew up around Paengaroa, Te Puke then, later on, Katikati.
Best piece of advice would have to be,
"Keep learning. Always."
What’s the best perk of working at Generator?
The physical environment has been a major plus for our team: it’s well-designed and a place we all want to be in.
