Abbey - Event Coordinator All sites Auckland

Describe your role and how long you have been with Generator:

I have been working with Generator as an event coordinator for exactly a year now. My role involves organizing and executing events across all five of our Auckland sites. My role involves being the first point of contact when we get inquiries about events, helping to plan and execute events as well as provide support on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly!

Best part of your job:

The way in which every day looks a little different! I am lucky to work on a range of different events, across a range of different sites. This means the planning and executing looks different each day, and I get to work in different spaces, with a range of different people. The nature of event work is also super exciting and fast paced. People trust us to take the reigns and its really rewarding.

Em - Event Manager Wellington

Describe your role and how long you have been with Generator:

I just celebrated my 1st anniversary with Generator and I have no idea where the time went. I guess that’s what happens when you’re having fun!

As the Wellington Event Manager, I look after both Bowen Campus & Waring Taylor event spaces. My role is to lead and oversee all aspects of the event - from the first point of contact to ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day. Making sure every event is successful is my top priority!

Best part of your job:

I do enjoy creating long lasting relationships with new clients! Getting amazing feedback and having them book with us again and again is the best reward.

What is your favourite Event space?

I love our Pūtahi spaces at Bowen just because I like big numbers (in hosting but not in age haha). Having a presentation for over 100 guests with an impressive 174” video wall then moving to the members lounge for drinks & nibbles never fails to impress our guests.

Here’s four words:

Work hard, party harder!

  • After work drinks = Tasting room or Rosie’s

  • Dinner = Los Banditos (chill) or Ortega (Gourmet food)

  • Shopping = Definitely Lambton Quay

  • Lunchtime walk = Along the Waterfront because nothing beats Wellington on a good day ;)

If you had to pick one age to be permanently, which age would you choose?

I’d pick 30! Well travelled, a bit more mature and had more money than in my 20s!

Brooke - Event Manager Britomart Place & Stanbeth House

Describe your role and how long you have been with Generator:

Having spent a year as part of the Generator family, my role as Event Manager involves leading and overseeing all events at our two Britomart-based sites daily. This includes ensuring flawless execution of client event details beforehand, offering expert advice, and most important, providing hands-on assistance during event delivery on the day. I'm committed to being there every step of the way, ensuring your event's success. I absolutely love it!

Best part of your job:

Meeting new people from various backgrounds and industries is super exciting. It's amazing to see how our Generator spaces transform into something new with each client event. Plus being part of your intimate events, knowing how much they mean to you, and working to ensure their success is super rewarding.

What is your favourite Event space?

Definitely The Assembly space at Britomart Place!

This is our rooftop space. It's more than just a fully functioning terrace bar; it's a vibrant venue perfect for any occasion. With room for 200 guests, we've hosted everything from meetings and breakfasts to exciting product launches and intimate celebrations. Seeing our clients' faces light up when they first see the space is the best. And the view helps.
