Generator Awarded Rainbow Tick

We are incredibly proud to announce that Generator NZ has been awarded the Rainbow Tick certification from Rainbow Tick NZ. This has been a two-year journey for our business working through a detailed process of research, internal policy checks and changes where necessary, interviews and workshops.
Thank you to all the members that supported the application to Rainbow Tick, and Mattea, Marnie and BJ for your dedication to this process.

What is the Rainbow Tick?
Rainbow Tick is about accepting and valuing people in the workplace, embracing the diversity of sexual and gender identities. A supportive work environment that is accepting of peoples’ differences benefits everybody. The certification process tests whether a workplace understands and welcomes sexual and gender diversity. The process involves an on-going quality improvement process. Generator will have ongoing monitoring of our spaces and policies to ensure we continue to adhere to the Rainbow Tick standards.

What does this mean for Generator members?
We aim for Generator to be a safe space where members can bring their whole selves to work. At the heart of Generator is community and we believe that we all gain more from being part of a diverse and accepting community.
Research has shown that a truly diverse and inclusive environment is directly linked to enhanced performance. Being part of a diverse community helps generate more diverse ideas and encourages innovation to thrive.
