End of an Era – and the Start of Something New…

At the end of June, Generator marks a key milestone, wrapping up operations at Stanbeth and Excelsior House.

Stanbeth House was our very first home. When we opened our doors in 2011 with just 30 members, we couldn’t have imagined what would unfold. Stanny (as it became affectionately known) became more than just a workspace, it was the site of business launches and collaborations, legendary parties, pink ribbon fundraisers, and, for many, lifelong friendships. If those walls could talk, they’d have some stories to tell.

After 14 years, the way people work, and what they need from their work and events spaces has changed. Stanbeth House has served us well, but it’s time for something new. And as they say, when one door closes, another opens.

This spring, we’re excited to open Pipiri Lane in Wynyard Quarter - a beautifully designed, cross-laminated timber space with serious sustainability credentials.

Pipiri Lane will offer boutique offices for teams of 4–15, coworking, and a show-stopping event space for up to 500 guests, with views across the harbour and city.

As Generator, and the flexible workspace industry, continues to evolve, Pipiri Lane reflects where we’re heading: purpose-built spaces for the way people work, meet, and celebrate today (and into the future).

To all the incredible members, staff, and guests who’ve been part of the Stanbeth House journey — thank you.
